Hi, I’m Sara Deacon.
I became a reluctant entrepreneur when an organization I was doing postpartum work with changed direction. For three years, I supported families as they transitioned to life with a newborn. When the pandemic hit, I became a coach, which was fun and fulfilling and easy to do virtually when necessary. As part of building that business, I began speaking and emceeing. When life hit the fan again—just for me this time in the form of a cancer diagnosis—I found myself stepping into several roles, including taking a full-time job while trying to keep my own business dream alive in some form.
It looked a lot like fragmentation, but I soon realized that everything I do comes down to one thing:
Deepening and strengthening human connection. It’s what I do on stage. It’s what I do when helping someone publish their story and expertise, and it’s what I do when supporting someone through their own “life hit the fan” moments.
I’m now an enthusiastic entrepreneur encouraging other entrepreneurs to work WITH whatever they’re facing to build the life and business that’s right for them!
